Job Duties:
The City of Clemson is looking for a municipal judge to preside over the city’s jury trial backlog. The Judge will manage the docket and work with a clerk and prosecutor who will also be assigned to these cases. The Judge will be appointed by the Clemson City Council and will work as an independent contractor. The Judge will make periodic updates to the City Council on progress made toward reducing the docket. Qualifications:
- South Carolina Magistrate or Municipal Judge Certification
- Demonstrated experience presiding over jury trials
- Ability to work with others to efficiently process the docket
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
